Resolution 7508, Approval to Expend the Funds Awarded in the 2009 Justice 4 <br />Assistance Recovery Act. 5 <br /> 6 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Approve the Consent Agenda Items A - E. 7 <br /> 8 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 9 <br /> 10 <br />F. Resolution 7508, Approval to Expend the Funds Awarded in the 2009 Justice 11 <br />Assistance Recovery Grant. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Council Member Mueller stated the Police Department was awarded a grant of $21,299 from the 14 <br />U.S. Department of Justice as part of the Recovery Funding Act that will be used to purchase in-15 <br />squad and City Hall security cameras. She noted this is another opportunity that the Police Chief 16 <br />has pursued and resulted in a nice award to purchase needed equipment. 17 <br /> 18 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7508, 19 <br />Approval to Expend the Funds Awarded in the 2009 Justice Assistance Recovery Grant. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 22 <br /> 23 <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 24 <br /> 25 <br />Council Member Mueller referenced Page 2, repairs made to a vehicle. Finance Director Beer 26 <br />advised it is a police vehicle. Council Member Mueller referenced Page 2, a charge for road 27 <br />striping and painting. Finance Director Beer advised that work was conducted all over the City, 28 <br />except in the street project areas. Council Member Mueller explained that the lane striping at 29 <br />Silver Lake Road and County Road 10 was not done. Public Works Director DeBar explained 30 <br />the arrows at that intersection were placed when the paving occurred, and the latex lane striping 31 <br />will be done later by the city’s contractor. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Council Member Stigney referenced Page 4, MR Sign for $1,640. Public Works Director DeBar 34 <br />stated they are traffic signs for the street project. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Mueller referenced Page 4, North Valley, Inc. for $716,398.90. Public Works 37 <br />Director DeBar stated it is the September monthly payment for the 2009 street improvement 38 <br />project. He provided an update on the project status and that temporary transitions will be placed 39 <br />around manholes and extension boxes if the wear course cannot be laid (due to cold weather 40 <br />conditions). 41 <br /> 42 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as Presented. 43 <br /> 44 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 45
