<br />Item No: 08B <br />Meeting Date: November 23, 2009 <br />Type of Business: CB <br />Administrator Review : ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Desaree Crane, Assistant City Clerk-Administrator <br /> <br /> Item Title/Subject: Resolution 7529, Appointing an Alternate City <br />Representative, Finance Director Mark Beer, to the North <br />Suburban Communications Commission (NSCC) <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Ms. Barbara Haake represents the City as its primary representative of the North Suburban <br />Communications Commission (NSCC) The alternate representative of the NSCC is Ms, <br />Jackie Entsminger. <br /> <br />The North Suburban Communications Commission (NSCC) was established in 1981, <br />consisting of 10 member cities and is charged with the duties of administering the local cable <br />agreement and managing the institutional network. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mounds View resident, Jackie Entsminger, currently a member of the Mounds View Cable <br />Committee and the Mounds View Economic Development Commission, is currently serving <br />as the alternate representative to the NSCC. Due to scheduling conflicts, Ms. Entsminger is <br />no longer able to be an alternate City Representative for this Commission. <br /> <br />Finance Director Mark Beer has experience to be an alternate City Representative for this <br />Commission. Finance Director Beer will only be going to meetings that Ms. Haake is not <br />able to attend. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Resolution 7529, appointing <br />Finance Director Mark Beer as the North Suburban Cable Commission Alternate Member. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />________________________ <br />Desaree Crane <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
