Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 785, a Tree Preservation & 4 <br />Landscaping Ordinance. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Interim Administrator Ericson provided an overview of Ordinance 785, an Ordinance for tree 7 <br />preservation and landscaping. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Interim Administrator Ericson requested adoption of the Ordinance and authorization to publish a 10 <br />summary of the Ordinance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Ordinance 785, a Tree 13 <br />Preservation and Landscaping Ordinance. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Mayor Marty said that he is pleased to be able to get a tree preservation ordinance on the books. 16 <br /> 17 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 18 <br /> 19 <br />D. Resolution 7198, Approving Selection of the Official City Newspaper, Acting 20 <br />Mayor, Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2008 21 <br /> 22 <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane provided information on the bids for official City 23 <br />newspaper. The City currently uses the Bulletin and the rates continue to be the lowest. This 24 <br />Resolution would also appoint the acting Mayor, Treasurer and Official Depositories for 2008. 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7198, 27 <br />Approving Selection of the Official City Newspaper, Acting Mayor, Treasurer, and Official 28 <br />Depositories for 20008. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Flaherty asked whether the Bulletin could be the first and the Focus as the 31 <br />secondary rather than the St. Paul Pioneer Press, since they never respond to requests for quotes. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Interim Administrator indicated that the timeframe cutoffs for publishing requirements can be 34 <br />met with the St. Paul Pioneer Press, but the Council certainly could use another paper as the 35 <br />secondary paper. 36 <br /> 37 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 38 <br /> 39 <br />E. Resolution 7194, Approving the TimeSaver Contract for Recording Secretarial 40 <br />Services. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane indicated that Staff is pleased with TimeSaver and 43 <br />presented the contract for consideration. 44 <br /> 45
