Vanessa 1 <br />VanAlstine indicated that the funding for this purchase would come from the PEG fees charged 2 <br />to cable subscribers. 3 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether the system being recommended is still compatible with 4 <br />the existing system. Vanessa VanAlstine indicated that the recommended system is compatible. 5 <br />Vanessa VanAlstine indicated that this computer system should have a less than one year return 6 <br />on investment and should last five years. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if the software is specifically for the Apple monitor. Vanessa 9 <br />VanAlstine explained that it would be the drivers and operating system for the Apple monitor. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Mayor Marty and Council Member Stigney inquired as to the cost of the Apple Care program and 12 <br />the difference in the warranty. Ms. VanAlstine indicated that Apple Care is $219.00 and that 13 <br />applies to the MacPro Computer and, if an Apple Monitor is purchased, it would apply to the 14 <br />monitor and that would increase the monitor warranty to three years. 15 <br /> 16 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. Resolution 7244 Approving Cleaning Contract for the City Hall/Police and 22 <br />Mounds View Community Center 23 <br /> 24 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that the cleaning contractors at City Hall and the 25 <br />Community Center have not been performing in line with the contract requirements. He then 26 <br />said that Resolution 7244 would award a contract to Clean Tech to clean both buildings. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Marty indicated he discussed this with Staff today and his question was that the building 29 <br />looks clean enough so he was not sure what the issue was. But, there have been ongoing issues 30 <br />with the existing contractors and that is why Staff decided to go out for bids and shop around. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Mayor Marty said that he would prefer a contractor rather than an employee to avoid having to 33 <br />pay benefits, etc. 34 <br /> 35 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Mueller.
