member of the Financial Policies Task Force and shall provide the Task <br /> Force with staff support. <br /> Subd. 3. Qualifications: To be qualified to serve on this Task Force a member be <br /> able to demonstrate experience in accounting, finance, investments, or <br /> compensation, through either a college degree or management level <br /> work experience. Members may be residents, nonresident taxpayers, or <br /> operate a business in Mounds View, however at least four members of <br /> the Task Force shall be Mounds View residents. <br /> Subd. 4. Compensation. All members of the Task Force shall serve without <br /> compensation. <br /> 408.04 CONFLICT OF INTEREST <br /> No member shall be personally interested in any contracts which the <br /> Task Force may enter. <br /> 408.05 VACANCIES <br /> Subd. 1. Termination of Appointment. Any Task Force member desiring to <br /> terminate his/her appointment to the Task Force before the expiration of <br /> his/her term shall give written notice to the Task Force Chairperson of <br /> his/her intentions. The Mayor, with approval of a majority of the Council, <br /> shall appoint a new member, from applications received, for the unfilled <br /> portion of the term. <br /> Subd. 2. Removal from Office. Any member of the Task Force may be removed <br /> from office for just cause and on written charges by a majority vote of <br /> the City Council. An appointed member may also be removed by the <br /> City Council for nonattendance at Task Force meetings if a member is <br /> absent from five (5) regularly scheduled meetings per year or absent <br /> from three (3) consecutive meetings, without the consent of the Task <br /> Force. <br /> 408.06 ORGANIZATION; MEETINGS <br /> Subd. 1. Chairperson. At the first regular meeting of the year, the Task Force <br /> shall appoint a chairperson from its voting members. This appointment <br /> shall be subject to Council approval and shall consist of a one year <br /> term. The position of chair shall rotate among members, with no <br /> member serving in that capacity for more than two (2) consecutive <br /> terms. The Task Force shall also elect a vice chair from among <br /> appointed members for a term of one year. The Task Force may create <br /> and fill such other offices from its members as it may determine to <br /> transact Task Force business. <br />
