Samantha, Mary S., a Golf Course Superintendent from <br /> the Metro area and I will be interviewing the candidates. They are mostly from <br /> Minnesota, but two are from out of state. One is from Iowa and the other is from <br /> California. <br /> Temporary replacement for Tracy <br /> We-have-found-a-temporary replacement for Tracy while she-is-on-parental leave-and- -- <br /> just <br /> just in time...on Thursday of this week Tracy had a baby girl. Sharon St. Hilaire will <br /> be filling in for Tracy until about mid-October. <br /> Temporary help in Public Works <br /> Due to the extended absence of Cheryl Sutton (she was in a car accident over a <br /> month ago and has been having back and neck trouble), a temporary laborer will <br /> begin Monday, April 25 and work through the end of May. This should help Public <br /> Works get through a busy time while being short staffed. Also, seasonal employees <br /> usually start around the end of May or the beginning of June. <br /> Labor Negotiations <br /> Samantha, the Chief, Cy Smythe of Labor Relations and I meet with the Teamsters on <br /> Friday, April 18. It looks as if we will be going to arbitration. More to come on this. <br /> PROACTIVE STREETLIGHT PLAN <br /> Last Fall, the City Council adopted a proactive street light plan based on the Police <br /> Department's needs analysis. The plan is to install 10 lights per year for three years. <br /> This year we are to install lights at: <br /> Location Lights <br /> 7600 block of Woodlawn 4 <br /> Bronson Drive and Edgewood Drive 1 <br /> Bronson Drive and Greenfield Avenue 1 <br /> 5751 Quincy Street 1 <br /> Between Quincy and Hillview Road 1 <br /> About 2085 Hillview Road 1 <br /> About 2201 Hillview Road 1 <br /> I have been working with a representative from NSP to determine the best installation <br />
