Unless this training schedule can be changed, it may be too difficult for City Staff to
participate as volunteer firefighters.
Tim C.
: P'..411111.11111mimmimmimmilmilmilmilimilmilmil/ARKS, RECREATION AND FORESTRY
PARKS:
* Jeff has been out with the Turf Vac - doing the park grasslands and
athletic fields.
* I sent out several bids to landscaping firms for work to be done in the
front of City Hall for beautification. The Garden Club will be doing
shrub and flower planting in front of City Hall.
* The typical irrigation repairs have been done by Steve this week. The
sump pump in the irrigation control area of Silver View Park has also
required some repairs and maintenance.
* Brad has been spending the afternoons grooming the fields. In addition
he has been painting the tracks at both Sunnyside School and Pinewood
School for the track programs. This is very time consuming.
* Steve has also been working on key security and inventory for all of our
park buildings and picnic shelters, as well as Greenfield Park baseball
facility and equipment building.
RECREATION:
* Summer program registrations have begun. Registration for Summer
Playground Programs begin Monday, April 9th. No doubt it will be a
hectic day at the registration desk!
* The Lion's Club has donated funding for the Safety Camp T-Shirts.
Every summer playground child that attends the Safety Camp will receive
a special Safety Camp T-shirt. We are really excited about this new
program.
