STAFF REPORT
APRIL 1, 1993
PAGE TWO
It should be noted that these figures are approximations and actual
hours devoted to the position - not to exceed 520 hours for the
entire year - will be based on workload. Staff feels these monthly
levels will be sufficient to provide quality code enforcement
however, some adjustment may be necessary as the actual workload
becomes more apparent.
Although not listed as a priority, staff would like the position to
also work on establishing an inventory of all uses/properties along
the Highway 10 corridor. This inventory would include all relevant
zoning information on the property (i.e. parking capacity,
setbacks, principal use, signage, etc. ) . Eventually,
rehabilitation of properties along Highway 10 will take place and
this information would be invaluable in setting policy on bringing
existing and proposed uses/properties into conformance with current
codes. Staff is hoping to do the majority of this work in the late
fall and winter months. Again, the ability to get to this project
will be based on workload in the top three priority areas.
Any questions the Council may have on the priority list and time
schedule will be addressed Monday evening.
