Resolution 8727, Accepting a Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church and 7 <br />Authorizing Distribution of Funds. 8 <br /> 9 <br />City Administrator Ericson requested the Council accept a donation from Bethlehem Baptist 10 <br />Church and authorize the distribution of these funds. He noted the City received a check from 11 <br />Bethlehem Baptist in the amount of $16,170.50. Staff described how the dollars would be spent 12 <br />and recommended Council approval. 13 <br /> 14 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 8727, 15 <br />Accepting a Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church and Authorizing Distribution of Funds. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Council Member Meehlhause offered his thanks to Bethlehem Baptist for their generous 18 <br />donation and continued support of the community. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br />C. Resolution 8729, Appointing the 2016 Mounds View Citizen of the Year. 23 <br /> 24 <br />City Administrator Ericson requested the Council appoint the 2016 Mounds View Citizen of the 25 <br />Year. He congratulated Virgil Beyer on being named Citizen of the Year View and explained 26 <br />Mr. Beyer would be presented with this award at the March 20th Town Hall meeting. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Mueller read Resolution 8729 in full for the record and thanked Virgil Beyer for his 29 <br />dedication to the community. 30 <br /> 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Adopt Resolution 8729, Appointing the 2016 32 <br />Mounds View Citizen of the Year. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Meehlhause suggested the 2015 Citizen of the Year also be allowed to serve as 35 <br />Grand Marshal’s for the Festival in the Park parade, along with Virgil Beyer. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Gunn thanked Virgil Beyer for all that he does for the City of Mounds View. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 40 <br /> 41 <br />D. Resolution 8731, Approving 2017 City Council Goals and Priorities. 42 <br /> 43 <br />City Administrator Ericson reviewed the 2017 City Council goals and priorities and 44 <br />recommended approval. 45
