PW Labor Agreement <br />July 10, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />ARTICLE 23 – STANDBY DUTY <br /> <br />The amount of standby duty pay will increase from 10 hours OT per week to 12 hours OT <br />per week, with one hour provided for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; <br />two hours for Fridays and three hours for each Saturday and Sunday. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 28 – WAGES <br /> <br />COLA increases have been provided similar to what was provided to the LELS groups; <br /> <br /> 2.5% in 2017, 2.75% in 2018 and 3% increase in 2019 <br /> <br />In addition, the City will provide the PW group with an up-front market rate adjustment of <br />.5% as a result of a compensation study of cities deemed comparable to the City of <br />Mounds View. <br /> <br />The wages for the custodian position have been decreased as a result of a compensation <br />assessment by a consultant. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 29 – LEAD WORKER <br /> <br />The lead worker pay in Section 29.4 will increase from an additional $1.50 per hour to <br />$2.00 per hour. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 31 - TERM <br /> <br />The new contract is for a three year duration, the revisions simply reflect new effective <br />dates, from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2019. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended the City Council approve Resolution 8774, approving the negotiated <br />labor agreement with Public Works bargaining group, effective January 1, 2017, through <br />December 31, 2019. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> ________________________ <br />James Ericson <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />1.
