<br />Oertel Services Report <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Oertel’s proposed fee is a general estimate of additional time needed for the items above- <br />-they are not able to provide a hard number. Oertel Architects will provide the City of <br />Mounds View with a monthly estimate of additional fees, to be billed hourly as needed. <br />There may be cases where construction activity does not require the full use of those <br />additional hours, and some where there might be more. The goal will be to provide <br />services reasonably and to itemize the additional hours on monthly invoices to track <br />appropriately. Oertel is proposing an additional 12 hours per month, for the duration of <br />construction (10 months) at the current billing rate of $125 / hr. This results in $1,500.00 <br />per month, for a total estimated additional fee of $15,000.00. <br /> <br />Funding for the additional Construction Administration will come from the Public Works <br />Facility Construction project account. <br /> <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends the City Council approve Resolution 8805, approving the proposal <br />from Oertel Architects for additional construction administration for the construction of the <br />Public Works Facility. An additional 12 hours per month is proposed for the duration of <br />construction (10 months) at the current billing rate of $125 / hr. which totals $1,500.00 <br />more per month, for a total estimated additional fee of $15,000.00, with the understanding <br />that these are not hard numbers for the necessary hours devoted to additional <br />Construction Administration.
