Where feasible, the group's recommendations will be incorporated <br /> into the City's future design and reconstruction of existing roadways. <br /> DEVELOP A PLAN TO INCLUDE CITIZENS IN <br /> GOVERNMENT AND PLANNING <br /> Progress Update: The participation of Mounds View residents on the <br /> Regional Senior Center Task Force, and the Trailways Advocacy Group <br /> were examples of the increased participants of Mounds View residents in <br /> government activities. <br /> Resident involvement was also enhanced by the 1992 Community Services <br /> Survey. The telephone survey conducted by Decision Resources polled 400 <br /> random households in Mounds View to determine the resident's viewpoint <br /> on city services, the budgeting process and user fee based programs. <br /> ESTABLISH CLOSER/BETTER COOPERATIVE <br /> EFFORTS WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FOR <br /> UPGRADING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> PARTICIPATE IN COOPERATIVE EFFORTS WITH <br /> OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES , WHEN <br /> APPROPRIATE , TO ENSURE QUALITY AND <br /> EFFICIENCY OF SERVICE DELIVERY. <br /> Progress Update: One of the more positive results to come out of the <br /> Ramsey County Local Government Study Commission was the realization, <br /> by the key policy makers, that "bigger is not better" and informed <br /> agreements among cities works better and more efficiently than mandated <br /> consolidationprograms. <br /> Mounds View will continue to operate from the viewpoint that cooperative <br /> efforts are beneficial and where it can be shown that such efforts are <br /> beneficial to all parties and cost effective, cooperative efforts will be <br /> implemented! <br /> The primary focus of the Clerk-Administrator's Office for the next <br /> five years and beyond will be to assist the C:ouncifln the reii ion and <br /> implementation of these goals. <br /> 11 <br />
