Mounds View City Council April 9, 2007
Regular Meeting Page 9

Council Member Mueller said that Mr. Courtney knows what is expected and this needs to be 1
done. 2
3
Council Member Stigney said that he has not heard Mr. Courtney state how he would remedy this 4
situation and how long it would take and, unless he does hear that, he would see no reason to 5
allow for anything other than the standard requirements. 6
7
Mr. Courtney said that he has already started on the clean up and he can get it done within the 10 8
days and there will not be much left at the end of the 10 days. 9
10
Council Member Stigney indicated that as he reads the Resolution he has five days unless that is 11
amended. 12
13
Housing Inspector Anderson explained that the reality of the situation will require planning and it 14
will take at least five business days to work out the plan so he is comfortable with the wording 15
but it would also be fine to include a date specific. 16
17
Council Member Flaherty would like to leave the wording as it is to make things consistent. 18
19
Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 20
21
F. Resolution 7043, Approving an Outdoor Consumption Endorsement for 22
Moe’s Located at 2400 County Highway 10 in Mounds View 23
24
Community Development Director Ericson indicated that this is a renewal request for outdoor 25
consumption for serving outside at Moe’s. There was an additional request discussed regarding 26
an outdoor event planned in June but, the only requirement for those events, is that they be 27
compliant with City Code including parking, noise, and licensing. 28
29
Director Ericson read the requirements for the outside event. 30
31
Council Member Flaherty would like the outdoor event with the band separated from the outdoor 32
consumption license. 33
34
The Applicant indicated that this is a family friendly activity and they have done this for 14 years 35
in a different location. He then said that he would like to make an arrangement to get the 36
approval for the June event because the community looks forward to it. 37
38
Mayor Marty recommended separating out the outdoor consumption endorsement from the 39
outdoor events and asked Staff to research it and have the Planning Commission review it and 40
provide feedback to Council. 41
42
Council Member Stigney asked what hours the outdoor event would be. 43
44
The Applicant indicated that they usually schedule it from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 45
