Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 786, an Ordinance Amending 8 <br />Chapter 1010 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Relating to Wetlands 9 <br />Protection (Roll Call Vote) 10 <br /> 11 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that this will provide some strengthening 12 <br />of the wetland protection requirements to allow the City to stop work in a wetland area that is not 13 <br />in compliance with the Code. He then asked for approval to publish a summary of the 14 <br />Ordinance. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Marty read the violation penalty section including the added language. 17 <br /> 18 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. Resolution 7082, Authorizing the Advertisement to Fill the Economic 27 <br />Development Coordinator Position 28 <br /> 29 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that Mr. Backman has resigned from his 30 <br />position and Staff has put together an announcement for the position and it is the Economic 31 <br />Development Specialist rather than the Economic Development Coordinator as it has been 32 <br />referred to. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Staff would like to interview June 18 through 20 and hopefully have a candidate for 35 <br />consideration at the June 25, 2007 meeting. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Flaherty commented that he agrees that there is a lot going on and this position 38 <br />has been invaluable to the City and needs to be filled as quickly as possible. He then suggested 39 <br />on the posting to remove the starting salary. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Director Ericson said that the range, at least, should be included to allow those interested to know 42 <br />what the position would pay. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Mayor Marty agreed. 45
