To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7082, 5 <br />Authorizing the Advertisement to Fill the Economic Development Specialist Position. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council asked that the wording be changed to specialist throughout the posting. 8 <br /> 9 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> L. Resolution 7083, Establishing the Comprehensive Plan Task Force 12 <br /> 13 <br />Community Development Director Ericson suggested that the Task Force be comprised of one 14 <br />member of each Commission, one member of Council, someone from the Chamber of 15 <br />Commerce, and four positions at large for a nine member Task Force. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Council Member Flaherty said that his only question is whether to limit the number of members 18 <br />at large as the City wants to promote resident involvement. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Mayor Marty agreed and said that he would like to leave it from four to six residents at large. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Council Member Stigney asked that the wording of Boards be removed because the City has no 23 <br />Boards. 24 <br /> 25 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Stigney. Resolution 7067, Approving the Purchase of a Spaulding RMV Hot 31 <br />Patcher/Asphalt Recycler Unit 32 <br /> 33 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Marty. To Continue the Council Meeting for 30 Minutes. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that there are 27 miles of streets to be maintained. He then 38 <br />explained that the City is not getting the asphalt heated well enough to get the compaction 39 <br />necessary for a good pothole repair. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Director Lee explained that $30,000 was budgeted for this item but Staff determined that the 42 <br />larger unit was not necessary. Staff recommends approval of the purchase of the hot patcher. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Mayor Marty listed everything included with the $19,500 price for the asphalt patcher. 45
