Mounds View City Council April 23, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Council Member Mueller said that, in one photo, there are puddles and she is wondering if 2 <br />changes will take care of that. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Director Ericson said there are plans for a swale but the lot is very flat. He then said that Staff 5 <br />feels that this will be an improvement. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Flaherty thanked them for providing jobs for the City. He then asked if this 8 <br />will alleviate storing pallets outside. 9 <br /> 10 <br />The Applicant indicated that they will still need to store some things outside but this will be an 11 <br />improvement. 12 <br /> 13 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7057, 14 <br />Approving a Development Review for an 11,000 Square Foot Manufacturing/Production 15 <br />Building at Central Sandblasting, 2299 County Road H as Amended to Include a Development 16 <br />Agreement. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Mueller said she is happy that they are growing their business in town. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 21 <br /> 22 <br /> H. First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 786, an Ordinance Amending 23 <br /> Chapter 1010 of the Mounds View Municipal Code Relating to Wetlands 24 <br /> Protection 25 <br /> 26 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that the proposed ordinance amendment 27 <br />would clarify and strengthen the language in the Code that describes when a wetland alteration 28 <br />permit would be required. He then said that the other change, as direction from Council, was to 29 <br />make sure that Kennedy & Graven review this and provide additional teeth under enforcement 30 <br />for violation and penalties. That additional language has been added. He then read it. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Mueller asked whether the Staff could put a copy of the Ordinance change in 33 <br />water bills to inform residents. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Staff can do so. 36 <br /> 37 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Flaherty.
