<br />RESOLUTION 7079 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW POSTAGE MACHINE FROM <br />MINNESOTA MAILING SOLUTIONS (HASLER) <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City’s postage machine (E595 Pitney Bowes) will expire at the <br />June; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the May 7, 2007 City Council Work Session it was the consensus <br />of Staff and the City Council to purchase the machine due to the future cost savings; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff received three quotes - Minnesota Mailing Solutions (Hasler), <br />Neopost and Pitney Bowes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff only considered Minnesota Mailing Solutions (Hasler) and <br />Pitney Bowes because Nepost did not have machines to meet the City’s postage needs; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received the following quotes below: <br /> <br />Pitney Bowes <br /> <br />DM500 Machine Purchase: $3,461/plus tax <br />Meter Rental: Free for First Year/$50.00 a month after <br />Maintenance Agreement: Free for First Year/Pitney Bowes was not able <br />to quote me a price for next year’s <br />maintenance agreement. In an email, they told <br />staff it would be about $480/year (+3-4%) <br />depending on inflation. <br /> <br />Minnesota Mailing Solutions (Hasler) <br /> <br />WJ150 Machine Purchase: $3,751/plus tax <br />Meter Rental: Free for First Year/$45 a month after <br />Maintenance Agreement: Free for First Year/$550 a year in 2008, then <br />add 3-4% depending on inflation in the <br />following years; and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
