Public Hearing, Resolution 7092, a Resolution to Consider an Off Sale 9
Intoxicating Liquor License Renewal for Vino & Stogies Located at 2345 10
County Road H2 11
12
Assistant to the Administrator Crane asked for Council consideration of a renewal of the liquor 13
license for Vino & Stogies. 14
15
Mayor Marty opened the public hearing at 7:52 p.m. 16
17
Hearing no public comments, Mayor Marty closed the public hearing at 7:52 p.m. 18
19
Council Member Flaherty asked Mr. Waste if he was familiar with the recent police reports. He 20
then asked Mr. Waste what happened. 21
22
Mr. Waste said that his store was not involved but his brother had a party in the basement of the 23
home portion attached to his store. The store was locked and the alarm system was on. 24
25
Council Member Flaherty asked if there is an entry way from the home to the facility and who 26
holds the key. 27
28
Mr. Waste indicated that his brother and one employee have the key. He then said that he was 29
not there and was not involved at all with the party. 30
31
Council Member Mueller said that there are a lot of questions and thanked him for coming. She 32
then asked if anyone living at the residence works for him. 33
34
Mr. Waste said that they do not. 35
36
Mayor Marty said that something he found disturbing is that the memo from the Police Chief 37
states that he finds it difficult to believe that Mr. Waste could be unaware of the party especially 38
when the parties were advertised with business cards for the next date of the party. 39
40
Mr. Waste said he knows nothing about business cards. 41
42
Council Member Flaherty asked if Mr. Waste has seen the police report from the Chief. He then 43
said that Mr. Waste is familiar with the circumstances and he is the license holder and the home 44
has the same address as the business so the home is part of the business, in his opinion. 45
