Mounds View City Council September 10, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 17 <br /> <br />Administrator Ulrich suggested that the employee be in attendance at the executive session. 1 <br />Council agreed. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Council Member Stigney said that he does not want to pay $9,000 to hire an executive search 4 <br />firm. He then said he supports the interim position. 5 <br /> 6 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 7 <br /> 8 <br /> F. Resolution 7154, Approving Additional Compensation for Assistant to the 9 <br /> Administrator Desaree Crane 10 <br /> 11 <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that she pulled this for discussion to emphasize the City is in 12 <br />a situation where City Staff is stepping up to do dual duty and she appreciates that, and feels the 13 <br />additional compensation is appropriate. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7154, 16 <br />Approving Additional Compensation for Assistant to the Administrator Desaree Crane. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Administrator Ulrich pointed out that there is an Amended Resolution and pointed out the 19 <br />amended section. 20 <br /> 21 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 22 <br /> 23 <br /> H. Resolution 7156, Approving an Annual Service Agreement with Trane 24 <br /> Building Services for City Hall HVAC Maintenance 25 <br /> 26 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if there is some way to have staff people to train for this rather 27 <br />than hiring an outside service. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that there is no one that is trained for this, and it would 30 <br />require schooling to be trained for HVAC work. There is an employee that has stepped up to be 31 <br />the boiler license holder, so that has been removed from the service contract. 32 <br /> 33 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7156, 34 <br />Approving an Annual Service Agreement with Trane Building Services for City Hall HVAC 35 <br />Maintenance. 36 <br /> 37 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 38 <br /> 39 <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 40 <br /> 41 <br />Mayor Marty on Page 5, BRAA the Random Park Building $1,333 and County Road 10 Trail 42 <br />Sections 9 and 10 for $32,578 he would like an update. 43 <br /> 44
