Mounds View City Council January 9, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br />a Bid Date for the Random Park Building Replacement Project. 1 <br /> 2 <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked how much the savings would be if the walls were not removed. 3 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated it would have cost $17,500 to remove all of the walls and 4 <br />electrical but the recommendation is to not remove the office walls. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked when that dollar amount will be known. Public Works Director 7 <br />Lee stated it may be known tomorrow. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Councilmember Stigney asked Building Official Osmonson what is the door width to meet ADA 10 <br />requirements. Building Official Osmonson stated she will provide that information to Public 11 <br />Works Director Lee. 12 <br /> 13 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 14 <br /> 15 <br />F. Resolution 6710 Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as 16 <br />Representatives for City Commissions and other organizations 17 <br /> 18 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane explained that the Council annually reviews the 19 <br />various Council and staff appointments. She noted the addition of the Community Center Task 20 <br />Force which has six members including Councilmember Thomas, Planning Commission Chair 21 <br />Stevenson, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Shari Kunza and three Mounds View residents; 22 <br />Duane McCarty, Rob Hanson, and Kara Chamberland. 23 <br /> 24 <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted the original committee called for the appointment of two 25 <br />Mounds View residents on the Community Center Task Force. However, three residents have 26 <br />submitted their names for consideration: Duane McCarty, Rob Hanson and Kara Chamberland. 27 <br />City Administrator Ulrich advised that the YMCA Advisory Committee met today and 28 <br />recommended those two names as volunteers who have been active with the park and recreation 29 <br />programs of the City. Staff recommends all six members be appointed and the Community 30 <br />Center Task Force be expanded by one member. 31 <br /> 32 <br />The Council discussed the list of committees and 2005 liaisons. Consensus was reached on the 33 <br />following appointments: 34 <br /> 35 <br />Ramsey County League of Local Government: Councilmember Flaherty and City Administrator 36 <br />Ulrich 37 <br /> 38 <br />Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fireman’s Relief Association: Councilmember Stigney 39 <br />and City Administrator Ulrich 40 <br /> 41 <br />Human Resources Committee: Councilmembers Flaherty and Stigney, and City Administrator 42 <br />Ulrich 43 <br /> 44
