To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6710 23 Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and 24 other organizations. 25 26 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 27 28 G. Resolution 6712 Re-appointing members to various Mounds View Boards 29 and Commissions 30 31 Assistant to the City Administrator Crane reviewed that at the December 6, 2005 work session, 32 staff advised that the terms for some members of different Boards and Commissions would 33 expire on December 31, 2005. Staff contacted these members to see if they would be interested 34 in being reappointed for another term. She noted those who responded with interest in serving 35 another term. Dale Aukee and Frank Silvis have not submitted applications to renew their terms 36 on the Park and Recreation Commission. However, they are still interested in serving another 37 term. Once staff receives their applications, staff will present them at the January 23, 2006 38 Council meeting. 39 40 Councilmember Flaherty thanked citizens for stepping forward to fill these positions. 41 42 Mayor Marty added this appreciation, noting Frank Silvis has served on the Park and Recreation 43 Commission for 25 years. He suggested that the City present Mr. Silvis with a certificate of 44 appreciation for serving Mounds View for a quarter of a century. 45
