To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6710 23 <br />Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as Representatives for City Commissions and 24 <br />other organizations. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 27 <br /> 28 <br />G. Resolution 6712 Re-appointing members to various Mounds View Boards 29 <br />and Commissions 30 <br /> 31 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane reviewed that at the December 6, 2005 work session, 32 <br />staff advised that the terms for some members of different Boards and Commissions would 33 <br />expire on December 31, 2005. Staff contacted these members to see if they would be interested 34 <br />in being reappointed for another term. She noted those who responded with interest in serving 35 <br />another term. Dale Aukee and Frank Silvis have not submitted applications to renew their terms 36 <br />on the Park and Recreation Commission. However, they are still interested in serving another 37 <br />term. Once staff receives their applications, staff will present them at the January 23, 2006 38 <br />Council meeting. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Councilmember Flaherty thanked citizens for stepping forward to fill these positions. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mayor Marty added this appreciation, noting Frank Silvis has served on the Park and Recreation 43 <br />Commission for 25 years. He suggested that the City present Mr. Silvis with a certificate of 44 <br />appreciation for serving Mounds View for a quarter of a century. 45
