<br />Item No: 8C <br />Meeting Date: 06/12/06 <br /> Type of Business: Consent Agenda <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6850 Appointing North Suburban Cable Commission <br />Alternate Member <br /> <br />Background: <br />Ms. Peg Meyer previously served as the Mounds View alternate for the North Suburban <br />Cable Commission. She recently moved from the City leaving a vacancy in that position. <br />Currently, Ms. Barbara Haake represents the City as its regular representative. The <br />alternate would fill in at time Ms. Haake is unavailable to attend meetings. <br /> <br />The North Suburban Cable Commission (NSCC) was established in 1981, consisting of <br />10 member cities and is charged with the duties of administering the local cable <br />agreement and managing the institutional network. <br /> <br />The City Council is to appoint one member and one alternate member to the NSCC. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />Mounds View resident, Jackie Entsminger, currently a member of the Mounds View <br />Cable Committee and the Mounds View Economic Development Commission, has <br />expressed a willingness to serve as the alternate representative to the NSCC.
