Option A was not developed because there was no real support from the City Hall Staff for a
stand-alone Police Building.
Costs were estimated for Options B and C. They include construction costs, site
improvements, furnishings and equipment, professional fees and contingency for unforeseen
items. The total estimated costs(without basement addition,)are as follows:
Option B $2,440,755
Option C $2453,316
9. The architects recommend the implementation of Option C to meet the space requirement
and needs of City Hall. Principle reasons for this recommendation are as follows:
Efficiency in use of space.
Provision for more meeting space including an above ground Community Room •
Construction sequencing more flexible and less disruptive.
10. The City of Mounds View must review the options, costs, and architesci recommendation
contained within this report so as to finalize a package to be presented for a Fall 1990
referendum.
•
•
•
A-2 •
