32 . 09 <br /> Subdivision 2. Termination of Appointment. Any Commis- 111 <br /> sion member desiring to terminate his/her appointment to the <br /> Commission before the expiration of the term, shall give written <br /> notification to the Planning Commission Chairman of his/her <br /> intention. <br /> 32. 10 Board of Adjustment and Appeals. A Board of Ad- <br /> justments and Appeals, consisting of all appointment members of <br /> the Planning and Zoning Commission, is hereby established . The <br /> Board shall function under and be governed by the provisions of <br /> Chapter 40.26 of the Municipal Code. <br /> 32. 11 Preparatin of Comprehensive Plan. It shall be the <br /> function and duty of the Planning and Zoning Commission to <br /> prepare and recommend a comprehensive plan and periodic update of <br /> said plan for the physicaldevelopment of the Municipality, <br /> utility service, parks, playgrounds and other similar develop- <br /> ments, the use of property, the density of population, and other <br /> matters relating to the physical development of the Municipa- <br /> lity. Such plan may be prepared in sections, each of which shall <br /> relate to the Comprehensive Plan program. <br /> 32. 12 Procedure for Adoption of Comprehensive Plan. The <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission may, at any time, recommend to the <br /> City Council the adoption of the Comprehensive Plan, or any sec- • <br /> tion of it, or any amendment thereof. The recommendation by the <br /> Planning and Zoning Commission to the City Council shall be by a <br /> resolution of the Commission, approved by the affirmative votes <br /> of not less than the majority of its membership. <br /> 32. 13 Adoption of the Comprehensive Plan by Council . <br /> Upon receiving a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission for the establishment or amendment of a Comprehensive <br /> Plan or section thereof, the Council shall , within a reasonable <br /> time, hold a public hearing upon such recommendation after <br /> advertising said hearing in the Official newspaper at least ten <br /> days prior to the hearing. After such hearing has been held, the <br /> Council may adopt the Comprehensive Plan or amendment or section <br /> thereof by a majority vote of its members . <br /> 32. 14 Means of Executing Comprehensive Plan. Upon the <br /> adoption of the Plan or any section thereof, it shall be the duty <br /> of the Planning and Zoning Commission to recommend to the Council <br /> reasonable and practicable means for putting into effect the Com- <br /> prehensive Plan or section thereof in order that the same will <br /> serve as a pattern and guide for the orderly physical development <br /> of the Municipality. Such means shall consist of a Zoning Plan, <br /> the control of subdivision plats, a plan of future streets loca- <br /> tions, etc . <br /> i <br /> Rev . 9/89 <br />
