4 • <br /> relocate an outdoor sign or structure, as defined in Section 1008.01 of this Chapter, in <br /> the Municipality without first obtaining a permit therefor as required.by this Chapter, <br /> except as provided in subdivision 2 of this Section. (1988 Code §§ 39.02) <br /> Subd. 2 Exceptions: Permits need not be obtained, but the other provisions of this Chapter <br /> shall be observed, for the following types of signs: <br /> a. A sign not exceeding ten(10) square feet in area, pertaining only to the sale, <br /> rental or lease of the premises, upon which displayed. <br /> b. A sign on residential property stating only the name of the occupant, which sign <br /> shall not exceed two (2) square feet in area. <br /> c. A sign on property on which a public, charitable or religious institution is located, <br /> stating the name and nature or the occupant and information as to the conditions <br /> of use or occupancy or a sign on such property used by the institution as a bulletin <br /> board, which sign shall not exceed ten (10) square feet in area. • <br /> d. A wall sign advertising the business located in the building upon which <br /> displayed, where such sign is erected by the owner or proprietor of the business • <br /> • located therein. <br /> e. A campaign sign as provided for in subdivision 1008.08 (12) of this Chapter <br /> (1988 Code §§39.03; 1993 Code) <br /> 1008.03: 'APPLICATION FOR PERMIT: Application for permits shall be made upon forms <br /> provided by the Clerk-Administrator and shall include the following information: <br /> Subd.1 The name, address and telephone number of the applicant. <br /> Subd. 2 The location of the building, structure or lot to which or upon which the sign is <br /> to be placed. <br /> Subd. 3 The position of the sign or other advertising structure in relation to nearby <br /> buildings, structures and streets or highways, if necessary. <br /> Subd. 4 Two (2) blueprints or ink drawings of the plans and specifications and <br /> methods of construction and attachment to the building ground. <br /> • Subd. 5 A copy of the stress sheets and calculations may be required by the Inspector, <br /> on larger signs, showing that the structure is designed for dead load and wind • <br /> pressure in any direction in the amount required by this Chapter and any other <br /> applicable law. <br />
