Mounds View City Council December 13, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br /> <br />Planning Associate Prososki stated that the owner of 7656 Silver Lake Road is requesting 1 <br />re-approval of a minor subdivision that was originally approved by the Council on April 28, 2 <br />2003. She stated the applicant had never had a new deed made and did not submit them to the 3 <br />City or County. She stated that both lots do meet the minimum lot size, and a twin home was 4 <br />constructed on the property. She stated the applicant is still responsible for submitting the new 5 <br />deed. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Council Member Quick asked if the new building had been built. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Planning Associate Prososki stated that it had. 10 <br /> 11 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Gunn. To waive the reading and approve Resolution 6412 as 12 <br />presented. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Stigney noted that both staff and the Planning Commission had recommended 15 <br />approval of this Resolution. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Ayes – 4 Nays –0 Motion carried. 18 <br /> 19 <br />E. Resolution 6404 Awarding a Contract for the Greenfield Park Playground 20 <br />Equipment Replacement Project. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Public Works Director Lee provided the Council with a revised report. He stated the low bid was 23 <br />from Minnesota Wisconsin Playground in the amount of $60,000, and that the total that had been 24 <br />budgeted for this project was $64,541.05. He stated that the citizens group that had raised 25 <br />$16,500 for the project was requesting that a climbing wall be added to the project, adding an 26 <br />additional $4,000 to the cost of the project. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Linke asked whether the climbing wall would add anything to the insurance 29 <br />cost. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that a climbing wall and a slide would have pretty much the 32 <br />same liability, but he would check into it. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if the merry-go-round was mechanized, and Public Works 35 <br />Director Lee stated that it was not and was a standard merry-go-round. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if Bethlehem Baptist Church had contributed to this project, and 38 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that they had donated $12,500. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Director Ericson stated that that donation was separate from the donation relative to any 41 <br />agreements that had previously been reached. 42 <br /> 43 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Gunn. To waive the reading and approve Resolution 6404, 44 <br />Awarding a Contract for the Greenfield Park Playground Equipment Replacement Project. 45
