A summary of the proposed truck replacement follows: • 2005 Sterling Acterra Truck $55,593.00 • Tanker/street flushing system $59,553.00 Subtotal $115,146.00 tax $ 7,484.49 • Trade-In of 1981 Tanker Truck ($8,000) TOTAL $114,630.49 The 2005 General Fund, Parks Department Vehicle Account (Account 100-4360- 7040) has $105,000.00 budgeted for this purchase. It should be noted that this is the third piece of parks equipment to be purchased in 2005 from this fund. Recommendation: Consistent with the City of Mounds View’s Long Range Financial Plan approved by City Council on December 13, 2004, Resolution 6403, Staff recommends that the City Council approve the purchase of a 2005 Sterling Acterra Chassis under state contract and award a contract to Boyer Ford in the amount of $55,593.00 plus tax and the tanker/street flushing system to ABM Equipment and Manufacturing for $59,553.00 plus tax. Finally, Staff recommends that the City Council approve the trade-in of the 1981 Tanker Truck to ABM Equipment and Manufacturing at a credited value of $8,000.
