Mounds View City Council May 23, 2005 Regular Meeting Page 21 MMKR could get the extension. 1 2 Finance Director Hansen stated they were late with the report every year for the last five years. 3 He stated that many Cities are going through a conversion process noting that State aid funds 4 could be held up if they are late with the report. 5 6 Council Member Flaherty asked how long MMKR has done the audits. He stated that he would 7 like MMKR to put together an estimate of hours. He stated that he does not want just an hour 8 rate quoted; he would like to have an estimate of the total hours and dollars. 9 10 Finance Director Hansen stated that they did the audits from 2001 to 2005. He stated that he 11 would request an estimate from MMKR. 12 13 Council Member Stigney expressed concerns about an open-ended agreement stating that he 14 would also like MMKR to provide an estimate. 15 16 Mayor Marty expressed concerns regarding the time constraints stating that someone should be 17 working on this as soon as possible. He stated things could be held up significantly if they put 18 off the decision for another two to three weeks. 19 20 City Administrator Ulrich suggested requesting a letter from MMKR that includes an estimate of 21 hours and approve the resolution with the understanding that if they exceed hours estimated 22 MMKR would have to come back to Council for approval of any additional hours or expense. 23 24 MOTION/SECOND Gunn/Marty To Approve Resolution 6536 Authorizing Additional Audit 25 Services from MMKR. 26 27 Ayes – 4 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 28 29 N. Resolution 6533 Authorizing The Bridges 10th Anniversary Celebration 30 31 Ms. Burg stated that The Bridges golf course has been big place in the Community and they 32 would like to celebrate the fact that the golf course is going into its tenth year. She stated that 33 they are considering a rollback of prices back to 1995 and reviewed with Council. She stated that 34 several things have been considered as a part of the anniversary party including games and food. 35 36 Council Member Flaherty noted that the Anniversary Celebration is currently scheduled for a 37 Friday and suggested that Saturday would be more appropriate, especially if they want to bring in 38 more patrons. 39 40 Ms. Burg noted that Saturdays are usually quite busy and this could bring in more business on a 41 Friday. She stated that they are open to doing it anytime but Friday worked the best. 42 43 MOTION/SECOND Marty/Flaherty To Approve Resolution 6533 Authorizing a rollback of 44 the green fees for The Bridges 10th Anniversary Celebration. 45
