RESOLUTION 6646 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW EMERGENCY DECLARATION <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has sustained severe losses <br />of a major proportion, brought on by high winds, rain, and hail on September 21, <br />2005, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Mounds View is a public entity within the <br />State of Minnesota, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following conditions exist in the City of Mounds <br />View as a result of the disaster: <br />1. Electrical power outages for approximately 1/3 of the City <br />2. Numerous power lines down throughout the City. <br />3. Flooding in low areas of the City. <br />4. Trees uprooted and branches down creating a large amount <br />of debris throughout many areas of the city <br />5. Downed trees caused damage to homes, and cars in many <br />areas of the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Mounds <br />View acting on behalf of and for the people of Mounds View declare that a state <br />of emergency exists within Mounds View, with all the powers and responsibilities <br />attending thereto as provided by Chapter 12, Minnesota Statute, and The City of <br />Mounds View resolution titled City of Mounds View Emergency Declaration dated <br />9-22-05. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(ATTEST) ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />____________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator
