This project includes the redesign and realignment of <br />several intersections along the County Road 10 corridor and includes pedestrian <br />pathways located on both sides of County Road 10. Of the several intersections <br />presented, each had to two or three design options associated with it. Attributes <br />of each of these design options were discussed and a preferred option for each <br />intersection was selected. In addition to the intersections design, other related <br />questions and issues existed, including emergency vehicle access and wetland <br />impacts. <br /> <br />January 30, 2002, <br />The City’s Community Development Director and Public Works Director met with <br />the consultant (URS Inc.) to discuss this project. The main focus of this project <br />involves changing the intersection geometrics of Co Rd. H2 and Long Lake Road <br />where they intersect with Co. Rd. 10. The intersections of Groveland Road and <br />Spring Lake Road with Co. Rd. 10 were originally part of the project; they have <br />since been excluded from the implementation phase of this project. They will, <br />however, remain in the project report in the event it is decided to implement them <br />at a later date. <br /> <br />April 1, 2002 <br />At a Council Work Session, this plan was again presented to the Council. After <br />discussing the plan, staff informed the Council that the next step in the approval <br />process was to solicit public input, and that the plan would be presented at a <br />public informational meeting later that month. <br /> <br />April 24, 2002 <br />A Public Informational Meeting was held. This meeting was held at 6:00 p.m. at <br />the Community Center. There were approximately 30+ people in attendance. <br />Representing then City was Jim Ericson, Community Development Director,
