Mounds View City Council April 12, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />of Roseville, City of Shoreview, and City of Vadnais Heights Jointly 1 <br />Committed to Individual, Joint, Constructive, and Peaceful Responses to 2 <br />These Acts of Terrorism and Racism in our Communities. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Community Development Director Ericson indicated this Resolution mirrors the one previously 5 <br />approved by Council and the other cities listed. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Mayor Linke read the Resolution. 8 <br /> 9 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Linke/Marty. To Approve the Resolution of the Mounds View 10 <br />Independent School District, City of Arden Hills, City of Mounds View, City of New Brighton, 11 <br />City of North Oaks, City of Roseville, City of Shoreview, and City of Vadnais Heights Jointly 12 <br />Committed to Individual, Joint, Constructive, and Peaceful Responses to These Acts of 13 <br />Terrorism and Racism in our Communities. 14 <br /> 15 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 16 <br /> 17 <br />7. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS 18 <br /> 19 <br /> A. Just and Correct Claims 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Marty indicated he had asked Finance Director Hansen to provide information 22 <br />on a couple of items. He then asked for clarification on the wiper motor for $86.69 and then a 23 <br />partial return. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated the return amount is for the core fee for the old motor. 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Marty commented that since the City went with one exterminator the bills seem 28 <br />to be lower. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Marty asked for information on the sewer service repair on Quincy Street. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Public Works Director Lee explained that there was a major sewer break at that location and they 33 <br />had to call for help with correcting it. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Member Marty asked whether the gas detector was for the water department. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated the City purchased two gas detectors that were budgeted for 38 <br />2004 and they are used when going into a confined space to check what gases are in there. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if there were other gas detectors. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Public Works Director Lee indicated that these two replace the two that were about 10 years old. 43 <br /> 44
