Mounds View City Council September 13, 2004 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> D. 7:20 pm: Public Hearing and Adoption of Ordinance 749, Amending Section 9.01, of the 2 <br />City Charter regarding Acquisition of Property. (Roll Call Vote) 3 <br /> 4 <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Linke stated that the only thing that was being changed was the words “as amended” were 7 <br />added to the last sentence in order to keep current with state statutes. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> E. 7:25 pm: Public Hearing for a Conditional Use Permit for a Residential Kennel at 8009 12 <br />Red Oak Drive 13 <br /> 14 <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Planning Associate Prososki stated that this was a request for a conditional use permit to allow 17 <br />three to four dogs six months of age or older, and that the conditional use permit required that a 18 <br />petition be signed by at least 50 percent of the neighbors located within 500 feet, which the 19 <br />applicant has complied with. She stated the property is fully fenced, and that there is one kennel 20 <br />that currently exists, and the applicant is proposing to add two more. She stated she had checked 21 <br />with the Mounds View Police Department, and there have been no complaints received since the 22 <br />applicant has lived at this property. She stating the Planning Commission recommends approval 23 <br />of the Conditional Use Permit. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Mayor Linke closed the public hearing. 26 <br /> 27 <br />MOTION by Gunn to approve the Conditional Use Permit for a Residential Kennel at 8009 Red 28 <br />Oak Drive. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Marty stated he didn’t see the permit in their packets. 31 <br /> 32 <br />City Clerk/AdministratorUlrich stated that they could table this matter until copies could be made. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Planning Associate Prososki provided the copies to the Council. 35 <br /> 36 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Stigney. To waive the reading and approve the Conditional Use 37 <br />Permit for a Residential Kennel at 8009 Red Oak Drive. 38 <br /> 39 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 40 <br /> 41 <br /> F. 7:30 pm: Public Hearing, Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 752, an Ordinance 42 <br />Amending the Zoning Code Relating to Driveway Setbacks (Roll Call Vote) 43 <br /> 44 <br /> 45
