To waive the reading and approve Resolution 6341 3 <br />Approving the Elimination of Parcels from Tax Increment Financing District No. 2 within the 4 <br />Mounds View Economic Development Project, in the City of Mounds View. 5 <br /> 6 <br /> Ayes-4 Nays-0 Motion carried. 7 <br /> 8 <br />M. Resolution 6342 Approving the Appointment of Tom Kinney to Deputy Police Chief. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Chief Sommer stated the Police Civil Service Commission process had been invoked for this 11 <br />position, which resulted in the Civil Service certifying the top three candidates. He stated the 12 <br />top candidate is Tom Kinney, and Staff recommends that he be appointed to the position of 13 <br />Deputy Police Chief. 14 <br /> 15 <br />MOTION/SECOND. Gunn/Marty. To approve Resolution 6342 Approving the Appointment 16 <br />of Tom Kinney to Deputy Police Chief. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Stigney asked if there was a previous resolution authorizing the City to fill this 19 <br />position, and Mayor Linke stated that there was. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Stigney stated he thought this position should be left and an additional sergeant 22 <br />should be gotten. 23 <br /> 24 <br /> Ayes-3 Nays-1(Stigney) Motion carried. 25 <br /> 26 <br /> N.
