Resolution 6353 Authorizing Severance Payment for Timothy Brennan. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Council Member Stigney stated for the residents’ information, the Resolution provides for a cash 7 <br />payout for Mr. Brennan’s vacation time of $10,148.13 and his sick time of $16,257.60. He stated 8 <br />the Resolution allows for a cash payout or that it be deposited into a retirement health savings 9 <br />plan. He questioned whether that was actually in effect. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Council Member Marty stated that was later in the agenda. 12 <br /> 13 <br />City Clerk/Administrator Ulrich stated the retirement health savings plan is an option if it’s approved, 14 <br />and if it’s not, that would no longer be an option. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Mayor Linke stated that the total in the staff report differs from what is in the Resolution. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Finance Director Hansen stated that there is a typographical error, and the sick time is 19 <br />$16,257.60. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Linke stated that the Resolution should read payment of $10,148.13 of accrued vacation 22 <br />time and $16,257.60 of accrued sick time. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND. COUNCIL BUSINESS 29 <br /> 30 <br />Mayor Linke stated that the first several items are amending Chapters of the City Charter, and it 31 <br />is required that there be a unanimous vote for these to go forward. he stated the public hearings 32 <br />would be held this evening, but the vote will be postponed on these items until there is a full 33 <br />Council present. 34 <br /> 35 <br />A. 7:05pm. Public Hearing for Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 743 Amending 36 <br />Chapter 5 of the City Charter. (Roll Call Vote) 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Linke opened the public hearing. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Council Member Marty asked if there is not a unanimous vote, whether this would still be able to 41 <br />be placed on the ballot. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Mayor Linke stated he did not believe there was enough time to put this on the ballot. 44 <br /> 45
