Anoka provided staff with consultant <br />interview questions that the EDA may wish to utilize if they move forward with a <br />branding process. <br /> <br />RFP Distribution List <br />Regarding the RFP distribution list, staff is working to compile a list of companies that <br />provide cities with branding/public communications/marketing services. Specifically, the <br />the City of Anoka’s Communications Coordinator, Pam Bowman, was kind enough to <br />provide staff with her RFP distribution list. Staff also requested a list from the City of <br />Coon Rapids. Both cities were extremely satisfied with the consultants they chose to <br />provide such services (Tunheim Partners, Community Design Solutions and Arnett <br />Muldrow & Associates). <br /> <br />Sharing Costs <br />A way to share costs for this project would be to explore joint branding with a <br />neighboring community, however this approach could limit Mounds View’s ability to <br />create its own identity. Attached is information from a marketing company out of <br />Nashville that recommended that the Cities of Shreveport and Bossier City in Louisiana <br />brand themselves jointly. <br /> <br />Other Cities Seek Brands <br />The attached Star Tribune article highlights metro cities that have completed or are in <br />the process of completing branding exercises.
