Mounds View City Council January 13, 2003 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Approve Resolution 5929, a Resolution Approving a 2 <br />Step Increase for Greg Lee. 3 <br /> 4 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 5 <br /> 6 <br />9. REPORTS 7 <br /> 8 <br />Council Member Marty had no report. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Council Member Stigney asked for information on the discrimination suit against the City. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated that he would provide that information in his report. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Council Member Stigney asked for clarification on residents being charged $25.00 to view a 15 <br />videotape of meetings. 16 <br /> 17 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he would address that in his report. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council Member Gunn had no report. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Council Member Quick had no report. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Mayor Linke had no report. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he had incorrectly indicated the City had settled the 26 <br />discrimination lawsuit but the suit had been dismissed and the amounts paid out by the City were 27 <br />for legal costs in defending the action. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Council Member Quick asked whether the individuals that filed those lawsuits are members of 30 <br />the AFSCME Union. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he was not sure of their status with the Union but 33 <br />they are not employees of the City. 34 <br /> 35 <br />Council Member Quick indicated it was his understanding that they were members but do not 36 <br />pay dues. He then asked Staff to check with the president of Mounds View Local and report 37 <br />back. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he had received plans for the landscaping of the 40 <br />Clear Channel Outdoor bulletin board near Walgreen’s. He then provided a drawing to Council 41 <br />and asked for consent to proceed with the plan. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Council Member Quick asked who would take care of the flowers. 44 <br /> 45
