Resolution 5963 Approving the Legal Services RFP and Authorizing its 1 <br />Distribution 2 <br /> 3 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated he had made the requested changes to the RFP with 4 <br />the exception of the request of Council Member Marty as there was not clear direction on the 5 <br />requested change. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson indicated the City Attorney had recommended a change under 8 <br />Section 5(b)(9) as the City cannot request or expect to receive the contents of the most recent 9 <br />audit or financial report. 10 <br /> 11 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated that would result in an ethical violation for an attorney to do that. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson suggested adding a retainer fee under Section K1 for the 14 <br />prosecuting attorney. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Council Member Gunn indicated her notes reflect that Council Member Marty wanted all of the 17 <br />Farmington information added. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Council Member Marty indicated he wanted to add the costs per mile, and identify minimum 20 <br />increments of time billed for each service. He then asked that Farmington’s 5 and 6 be added as 21 <br />Mounds View’s 4 and 5 under K. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Council Member Stigney asked for the City Attorney’s opinion on the document. 24 <br /> 25 <br />City Attorney Riggs indicated he had discussed the document with Mr. Ericson and had brought 26 <br />up the only issues he had with it. He then said that it was comprehensive and the language was 27 <br />fairly standard. 28 <br /> 29 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5963, a 30 <br />Resolution Approving the Legal Services RFP and Authorizing Distribution. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council recessed at 9:25 p.m. 35 <br />Council reconvened at 9:30 p.m. 36 <br /> 37 <br />G. Resolution 5962 Approving the Purchase of a Point of Sale System for the 38 <br />Bridges Golf Course. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg briefly explained how the point of sale system would improve record 41 <br />keeping at the golf course noting that the system would automatically transmit information to 42 <br />City Hall to eliminate the need for staff to drive over with a piece of paper. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Council Member Stigney asked whether the transfer of data would be secure. 45
