Resolution No. 5983, a Resolution Approving Agreement for Professional 4 <br />Services for Golf Lessons – Manthis Contract. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated the course has a need for golf pros to accomplish the task 7 <br />of offering golf instructions and she has come to Council for permission to fill the position. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Council Member Marty asked if this is the same contract as was used for the last couple of years. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated it is the exact same contract. 12 <br /> 13 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 5983, a 14 <br />Resolution Approving Agreement for Professional Services for Golf Lessons – Manthis Contract. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Council Member Marty asked if Ms. Burg had heard anything from the Chamber on the request 19 <br />for charitable gambling funds. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Golf Course Manager Burg indicated she had received a letter from the Chamber that the 22 <br />Chamber could donate $1,500 and said she would be seeking other funding sources for the 23 <br />remaining amounts. 24 <br /> 25 <br />10. REPORTS 26 <br /> 27 <br />Council Member Quick asked Interim City Administrator Ericson to request that the police 28 <br />department provide reports on administrative offenses, moving violations, speeding, license 29 <br />plates expired, overnight parking, etc., on the same time frame that the police reports are 30 <br />provided. 31 <br /> 32 <br />Council Member Marty had no report. 33 <br /> 34 <br />Council Member Stigney asked for a status on the garage setback on Long Lake Road. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Gunn had no report. 37 <br /> 38 <br />Mayor Linke indicated it was his pleasure to go to the rotary function at the Mermaid and 39 <br />indicated the City would not see a bill for that. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Interim City Administrator Ericson updated council on the garage setback issue indicating that 42 <br />the Planning Commission would be working to change the zoning code to make it more clear. 43 <br />He then said that the City gave the developer three options, apply for a variance, move the entire 44 <br />structure back, or remove 11 feet from the garage and the developer opted to apply for a variance. 45
