Resolution 6080 Authorizing the Acceptance of a Grant and the Purchase of 3 <br />Equipment for the Spring Lake Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire Department 4 <br />and Amending the 2003 General Fund Budget. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Finance Director Hansen indicated that there is a federal and state grant available through 7 <br />Ramsey County and the Fire Department has asked the City to apply for the grant and will be 8 <br />reimbursed from the Fire Department. 9 <br /> 10 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6080 11 <br />Authorizing the Acceptance of a Grant and the Purchase of Equipment for the Spring Lake 12 <br />Park/Blaine/Mounds View Fire Department and Amending the 2003 General Fund Budget. 13 <br /> 14 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 15 <br /> 16 <br />B. Consideration of Ordinance 718, an Ordinance Amending Ordinance 709, an 17 <br />Emergency Interim Ordinance Regulating the Presence and Siting of 18 <br />Pawnshops and Related Establishments Within the City of Mounds View. 19 <br /> 20 <br />Community Development Director Ericson indicated that this Ordinance would extend the 21 <br />timeframe of Ordinance 709 and allow Staff the time required to provide a recommendation to 22 <br />Council as to the siting and regulating of pawnshops within the City. 23 <br /> 24 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Ordinance 718, an 25 <br />Ordinance Amending Ordinance 709, an Emergency Interim Ordinance Regulating the Presence 26 <br />and Siting of Pawnshops and Related Establishments Within the City of Mounds View. 27 <br /> 28 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 29 <br /> 30 <br />C. Consideration of Resolution 6072, a Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of 31 <br />a Sprinkler Monitor for City Hall. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Ms. Osmonson addressed Council and explained why a sprinkler monitor is necessary at City 34 <br />Hall and recommended Olson Fire Equipment as the lowest bid. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Council Member Stigney indicated that Conway had said the panel was inoperable and that the 37 <br />wiring was compromised. He then asked whether Olson Fire had an issue with that. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Ms. Osmonson indicated that the compromise comes with regard to the smoke protection system 40 <br />and that is not required at this time. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Council Member Quick asked whether the monitor was included in the construction contract 43 <br />with Ebert. 44 <br /> 45
