Consideration of Resolution No. 4551 Regarding Development Review <br /> for Multi-Tech, 2205 Woodale Drive <br /> Paul Harrington, City Planner, reported that Multi-Tech Systems, <br /> Inc. has made application for a development review of their proposed <br /> building addition at 2205 Woodale Drive. Harrington further <br /> reported that Staff reviewed the application and found the request <br /> to meet the intent of the Mounds View Municipal Code as it applies <br /> to this request including land use, setbacks, parking, etc. <br /> Harrington also explained that there are no anticipated problems <br /> with storm water control on the site as the ponding area constructed <br /> as part of the existing Business Park was sized appropriately to <br /> handle the further development of this property. Harrington <br /> provided Resolution No. 4541 Approving the Development Review of the <br /> Proposed Multi-Tech Facility Expansion at 2205 Woodale Drive for <br /> Council consideration. <br /> 411 MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Trude to Adopt Resolution No. 4541 Approving <br /> the Development Review of the Proposed Multi-Tech Facility Expansion <br /> at 2205 Woodale Drive <br /> Harrington indicated that Scott Wylie of Multi-Tech was in the <br /> audience to answer questions. Wylie indicated that Multi-Tech is <br /> working with Everest on a purchase agreement for a larger facility. <br /> Councilmember Trude stated that Multi-Tech is a wonderful business <br /> and employees approximately 200 people. Scott Wylie of Multi Tech <br /> noted that it actually now employees 310 people. <br /> Mayor Linke commented that-Multi-Tech has been a great partner for <br /> the City and was presented an award for the same a couple of years <br /> ago. <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> C. Consideration of Ordinance No. 536 Amending Chapter 401, "Planning <br /> and Zoning" of the Mounds View Municipal Code <br /> Paul Harrington, City Planner, reported that the changes to Chapter <br /> 401 provide clarification of meeting purpose and appointment <br /> recommendation procedure. Harrington explained that these changes <br /> would allow for the establishment of the meeting schedule to be set <br /> by resolution rather than by City Code and would also give the <br /> Planning Commission a more active role in the appointment of Chair <br /> and Vice Chair positions. <br />
