Mounds View City Council Page Fifteen <br /> 410 Regular Meeting April 25, 1994 <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> I. Consideration of Approval of Change Orders for City Hall Building <br /> Improvement Project <br /> Tim Cruikshank, Assistant to the City Administrator, reported that <br /> as part of the City Hall Expansion and Remodeling project, there are <br /> some additional items that require Council consideration prior to <br /> beginning the work. Cruikshank listed the miscellaneous projects <br /> that still need to be completed. Cruikshank stated that the funding <br /> of the listed items had been budget as part of the City Hall <br /> Project, but were not included as part of the work in the general <br /> contractor's base bid because each item was quoted at inflated <br /> rates. Cruikshank reported that there is $73 , 000 in the City Hall <br /> Improvement Fund to fund additional City Hall improvements. The <br /> cost of the miscellaneous projects listed above would be $40, 600. <br /> Staff has provided Resolution No. 4552 Authorizing Expenditure for <br /> Additional City Hall Improvements for Council consideration. ] <br /> Councilmember Trude asked about the P.A. system that was to be <br /> installed in the Council Chambers. <br /> Don Brager gave a brief overview as to what has been completed and <br /> what is yet to be completed regarding the audio visual equipment. <br /> Councilmember Trude asked if the dilapidated chairs that staff is <br /> presently using are being replaced. <br /> Orduno commented that Michele Severson and Mary Saarion have <br /> requested new chairs. <br /> Mayor Linke directed staff to look into who needs a new chair and <br /> what the costs will be. <br /> MOT_LON_/_SECOND:_ Trude-/_Wuori to Adopt R- esolution No. 4_552 Authorizing -Expenditure for Additional City Hall Improvements <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> J. Consideration of Resolution No. 4556 Awarding the Sale of the City's <br /> Taxable General Obligation Tax Increment Refunding Bonds, Series <br /> 1994B and Providing for Their Issuance <br /> Don Brager, Finance Director-Treasurer, reported that bids were <br /> taken for the sale of Taxable General Obligation Tax Increment <br /> Refunding Bonds, Series 1994B on the morning of April 25, 1994. <br /> Brager introduced Jerry Shannon of Springsted, Inc. who briefly <br /> . reviewed the process and the computations of the final savings <br /> regarding the refunding of the bonds. Shannon reported that the <br /> savings would be a little under 5%. <br />
