Consideration of Walkpath and Lighting for City Hall Park <br /> Mike Ulrich, Director of Public Works, presented the quotes received <br /> by the City for a bituminous path from the adult softball field at <br /> City Hall to Edgewood Drive. Ulrich also explained to the City <br /> Council that it could be beneficial to construct an additional 200 <br /> foot path from Bronson Drive via the tower/reservoir driveway. <br /> Ulrich noted that the Council had also requested lighting of this <br /> path, from the ballfield to the most westernly berm. Ulrich <br /> presented the bid amounts for the bituminous path as being $3 ,980 <br /> for 400 ft. and $5,970 for 600 ft. Bacon Electric's bid for the <br /> lighting was $4, 150. <br /> Council asked what type of lighting would be used and Ulrich <br /> reported that it would be the same lighting as in the front of the <br /> City Hall building. <br /> Councilmember Blanchard questioned why this item had not been <br /> 4111 discussed at a work session and why it needs to be decided upon <br /> at this Council Meeting. <br /> Ulrich stated that if the bituminous were to be laid it would have <br /> to be put in before the frost was in the ground. <br /> Discussion took place among the Council regarding the 400 ft. path <br /> vs. the 600 ft. path and the advantages and disadvantages of both. <br /> Councilmember Blanchard stated that there seemed to be a lot of <br /> disagreement regarding this sidewalk and possibly the item should be <br /> tabled. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to Approve the Parking Lot 600 Ft. <br /> Addition in the Amount of $5, 970 and the Lighting in the Amount <br /> of $4, 150 <br /> VOTE: 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> RESIDENTS REQUESTS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR (CONTINUED) <br /> Discussion Regarding Sherwood Estates <br /> Jan Strupman, daughter of Bob and Bernita Chestek, who have lived in the <br /> City for forty years, explained that her mother and father are retired <br /> and have moved to another part of the country and have chosen to sell <br /> 1111 their property which is part of the Sherwood Estates development project. <br />
