Section 9 Redevelopment Plan, Highway 10 Corridor <br /> SRF CONSULTING GROUP, INC. <br /> February 10, 1997 <br /> LAND USE <br /> • Goa/#1: Section 9 represents an area of diversity and mixed land <br /> uses, and the City will encourage and support the continued establishment <br /> of a wide variety of land uses in order to generate interest and to promote <br /> opportunity. <br /> o Objective : To support development plans and programs that encourage <br /> the mixing of uses in order to generate and maintain interest and <br /> diversity within the area. <br /> o Objective: To ensure that the City's Comprehensive Plan acknowledges <br /> the benefits gained from land use diversity within the corridor. <br /> o Objective: To ensure that land use controls (subdivision regulations and <br /> zoning ordinance provisions) facilitate the creation of mixed use areas. <br /> • Goal#2: Highway 10 is a highly visible corridor; and, as such, the City <br /> will strive to achieve the highest and best land uses for properties within <br /> Section 9. • <br /> o Objective: To target those commercial uses that provide needed <br /> services and products for Mounds View residents and that attend to the <br /> needs of the motoring public. <br /> o Objective: To identify those residential uses that would enhance life- <br /> cycle housing opportunities within Mounds View and that would furnish <br /> residents with safe, affordable and livable shelter. <br /> o Objective: To target uses that are compatible with surrounding land <br /> uses. <br />
