Officiai Rose replled that it wou7d be one or two months. <br />Chairperson Haake left the me2ting at this time. <br />VARIANCE REQUEST OF TOM KOSEL - 5449 ERICKSON ROAD <br />Official Rose reported tiiat the applicant has requested to build a~0' by 6' additfon <br />~ to hts kitchen and family ruum at the rear of his existing home. The proposed <br />addition would be 29' from the lot 11ne, requiring a i` variance. A71 the other home <br />setbacks meet the minimum requirements. Official Rose added that the lat is only 100' <br />deep, wMie having a frontage of 165', with 100' being a ninimat lot depth. <br />Official Rose stated that the home, due to its placement and its minimum depth, requires <br />a variance for an addltion of more than 5', and thc~t cor.struction additinns are <br />generally in even feet. <br />Mr. Kosei stated that he was asking for a 2' variance, nnt 1', as he had measured <br />the property and f~und he would be 1'8" too close to the lot 11ne. Official Rose <br />replled that Staff had measured the lnt also and determined the addition to come to <br />29' fran i:ne laC iina and only requ~lring a 1' veriance. <br />Mr. Kosel added that he plans to put on a small addition on the back of hfs house to <br />~nlarge the kitchen and family room, and that he had spoken to his neighbor to the <br />rear, who had no problem with the proposed addition. <br />, Commisslon Member Glazer asRed if a 20' by 5' addition wouid be acceptab7e, thus ~ <br />not requiriny a variance.
