Ho added that one ownar has <br />stated he does not care to ssll ab thie time, hut <br />h3 telt that could ba wnrked around. He also <br />atated ttiat the City would be offering tax increment <br />flnancing or industria~ ravenue bonds tn tha developer, <br />as an incen~ive to develop there, <br />Clesk/Administrator Paulep stated he was requ3red by <br />law to conault with the Planning Commiosion beEore <br />the public hearing, cahich ip alzeady aeheduled, and <br />to get their feedback'. <br />%-, <br />ommiseionar Zollner stated al;e was vory concerned <br />~~-'with the City giving handoute to businesses that want <br />to develop within the City. She filso <br />pointed out there is a good $oal of vacant office <br />epeca in other parta of'thr~ mek.ro area and queationed <br />whether there was enough demand ta build additional <br />oEfice space. <br />Chairman Mountin stated that Mvunda View has not bs3en <br />succeesful in getting many bueineeses ihto tha City, <br />and if tliis is the vehicle that will allow the City <br />ta move forward, she would be in favor of i.t. <br />Clerk/Adminietrator Pauley explained that it ie a <br />common practice for citiea to offer financial <br />incentivea and packages Y.o developers, to get them <br />to build within tha city.
