Mounds View City Council July 24, 1989 <br />Regular Meeting Page Fifteen <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />,_ Mr. Minetor advised that. due to the location of the <br />Williams pipeline in relation to the planned turn Zane <br />into the Sysco project, the County has agreed to leave <br />the turn lane out at this time and will wait and lower <br />the pipeline at the time of the County Road J work, <br />and install the turn lane at that time. <br />Councilmember Paone had no report. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported the airplanes are <br />starting in again, from the Anoka County Airport, <br />and she has been getting calls, and trying to pass <br />them on but often gets a busy signal. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised the number to call <br />to report actions of aircraft from the airport is <br />726-9411. He stated if the caller gets no response, <br />he should be called the next business day. <br />Councilmember Blanchard noted the terrible condition <br />of the water in Spring Lake. <br />• Ms. Saarion explained there are a certain number of <br />days when it can be pumped, and it is controlled by <br />the St. Paul Waterworks. <br />Councilmember Wuori reported the Mounds View Community <br />Theatre would be opening the production of Sound of <br />Music on July 28. and invited the community to order <br />tickets. An opening night reception will be held at <br />Robert Lee's restaurant. A signer will also be at the <br />August 3 performance, provided by the Lions Club. <br />Motion/Second: Quick/Blanchard to direct Staff to <br />send a letter to the Metropolitan Airports Commission. <br />askimg them to inform the pilots at the Anoka County <br />airport to follow flight procedures. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Quick asked how Spring Lake Park <br />maintains the level of Laddie Lake. <br />Ms. Saarion explained they have at least 10 pumps <br />that they use. <br />24. Reports of <br />Councilmembers: <br />Councilmember <br />Paone <br />Councilmember <br />Blanchard <br />Councilmember <br />Wuori <br />Councilmember <br />Quick <br />Motion Carried <br />Councilmember Quick asked Mr. Minetor to provide a <br />report at the next meeting on how that affects the <br />aquafors. <br />
