1005.03 1005.03 <br /> <br /> <br />a. APPROVED: As applied to a material, device or method of construction, shall mean approved by the <br />enforcement officer under the provisions of this Chapter or approved by other authority designated by law to <br />give approval in the matter in question. <br /> <br />b. BASEMENT: That portion of a building between floor and ceiling which is partly below and partly above <br />grade but so located that the vertical distance from grade to floor below is less than the vertical distance from <br />grade to ceiling. <br /> <br />c. BUILDING CODE: The Building Code of the City of Mounds View, including any future amendments 5, <br />the Electrical Code 6, Plumbing Code 7, Mechanical Code, Fire Code 8 and Zoning Code 9. <br /> <br />d. CELLAR: That portion of a building between floor and ceiling which is wholly or partly below grade and so <br />located that the vertical distance from grade to floor below is equal to or greater than the vertical distance from <br />grade to ceiling. <br /> <br />e. DWELLING: Any building or portion thereof which is designed or used primarily for residential purposes. <br /> <br />f. DWELLING UNIT: Residential accommodation, including complete kitchen facilities, permanently <br />installed, which are arranged, designed, used or intended for use primarily as living quarters for one family and <br />not more than an aggregate of two (2) roomers or boarders. <br /> <br />g. ENFORCEMENT OFFICER: Shall include the Housing Inspector or an authorized representative. <br /> <br />h. EXTERIOR PROPERTY AREAS: Open space on the premises under the control of the owners or operators <br />of such premises. <br /> <br /> <br /> 5 See Chapter 1001 of this Title. <br /> 6 See Chapter 1003 of this Title. <br /> 7 See Chapter 1004 of this Title. <br /> 8 See Chapter 1002 of this Title. <br /> 9 See Title 1100 of this Code.
