1005.12 1005.12 <br /> <br /> <br />d. The certificate shall state that the structure has been inspected and is in compliance with the requirements of <br />this Chapter. (Ord. 572, 2-26-96) <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Posting of Certificate: Every registrant of a multiple dwelling shall post the receipted copy of the certificate <br />of registration received from the Building Inspection Department. This certificate shall be conspicuously <br />posted, in a frame with a glass covering, by the registrant in a public corridor or hallway or lobby of the multiple <br />dwelling for which it is issued. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Annual Renewal of Registration: The owner of a multiple dwelling or an agent shall annually apply for a <br />renewal of the certificate of registration on or before September 30. Renewal of the registration is contingent <br />upon compliance with this Chapter. (Ord. 572, 2-26-96) <br /> <br />Subd. 5. Transfer of Registration: A certificate of registration for the unexpired portion of the licensed term is <br />transferrable, for a fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00), to any person who has acquired legal ownership of a <br />registered building. It is the responsibility of the current owner to notify the purchaser that a transfer must be <br />filed with the Building Inspection Department immediately upon acquiring legal ownership. The license shall <br />terminate upon failure to apply for its transfer within 30 days following the change of legal ownership. (Ord. <br />572, 2-26-96) <br /> <br />Subd. 6. Registration Fees: An annual fee, established by City Council resolution, shall be paid by the owner for each <br />registration and renewal required under this Chapter. Any owner or an agent who fails to apply for registration <br />prior to the time or date set forth herein shall pay a fee double that required herein. (1988 Code ∋93.15) <br /> <br />Subd. 7. Suspension and Revocation Procedures: <br /> <br />a. Suspension: In the event notice of violation has been mailed and posted, as provided in subdivision <br />1005.16(2) of this Chapter, and the violation therein cited has not been remedied within the time allowed, the <br />enforcement officer may suspend the certificate of registration until the violation is remedied. Such suspension <br />may be for an entire building or for a part thereof. Notice of such suspension shall be mailed as required in <br />subdivision 1005.16(2) of this Chapter, and the building or part thereof affected by such suspension shall be <br />posted with a copy of such suspension notice. <br />
