Mayor Linke stated that the financial portion of the Surface Water Management Plan was brought up as part of the entire plan, not an individual item. 6. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer reviewed Staff Report no. 92-231C regarding the remodeling of the existing water filtration plant area for police garage and evidence storage. Minetor stated that the contractor had not yet obtained all the estimates from the subcontractors and that this item should be tabled for two weeks. Report No. 92-232C regarding the purchase of a Skidloader and Asphalt Planer. Minetor stated that staff had budgeted these items to improve the street maintenance and patching work in the City. Minetor stated that staff received three bids on this equipment. Only two of those bids met specifications. The low bid was received from Carlson Tractor in the amount of $34,838. Also requested on the bids were some accessories for this equipment. Minetor stated that previously, staff had saved $6,000 on the purchase of the tank monitoring system and would like to use $3,000 of the savings from this purchase to buy some accessories for the Skidloader. The total cost of equipment would be $38,306.00. MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Wuori to award bid to Carlson Tractor for a 1992 New Holland Skidloader with accessories for a Total Cost of $38,306.00 to be Charged Equally to 700-4121-703, 730-4121- 703 and 100-4270-703. Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, reviewed Staff Report No. 92-233C regarding the hiring of Bill Sjulstad for Seasonal Employment in the Sewer Department. Minetor stated that Sjulstad has worked as a seasonal employee for the City during the last three summers. Mr. Sjulstad would not work for more than 100 days. Sjulstad would be assigned to the sewer department. Sjulstad's hire date would be April 8, 1992 at wage of $6.50 per hour.
