To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution <br />9140, Accept Improvements and Approve Final Payment for the Construction of the Public <br />Works Facility. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />D. Authorizing Advertisement for Hiring a Maintenance Worker in the Public <br />Works Department. <br /> <br />Human Resources Technician Ewald requested the Council authorize the advertisement for <br />hiring a maintenance worker in the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked if the Human Resources Committee had addressed this matter. Human <br />Resources Technician Ewald reported this was the case and noted the Human Resources <br />Committee supported the recommendation. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9142, <br />Authorizing Advertisement for Hiring a Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller asked where this position would be posted. Public Works Director Peterson <br />explained the position would be posted internally first and if no applications were received the <br />position would be posted on the League of Minnesota Cities website. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull stated he would like to learn more about how the City manages <br />tenant/landlord complaints. He explained he would like to see the City becoming tougher with <br />landlords to ensure tenants are being heard. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund indicated Council Member Hull had brought this concern to him <br />and he stated he would review the City’s licensing process. He stated reviewing call volume
